Arrive at the designated meeting point in Valpoi. Meet your guide, register for the trip, and receive a short briefing on rafting safety, techniques, and river behavior.

10:15 AM / 2:45 PM - Jeep Safari to Rafting Site

Travel through scenic Mahdei Wildlife Sanctuary by jeep to reach the rafting start point deep within the Western Ghats.

10:45 AM / 3:15 PM - Gear Up & Safety Instructions

Get equipped with life jackets, helmets, and paddles. Our certified river guides will conduct a short demo on rafting techniques and commands.

11:00 AM / 3:30 PM - Start Rafting Adventure!

Begin the thrilling 10-kilometer ride through Class 2 to 3 rapids. Navigate exciting rapids like Big Daddy, Pipeline, and Y-Fronts while soaking in the lush green scenery.

Photo Stop - (Optional)

Pause mid-journey (if water levels allow) for quick group photos and nature admiration. Let the adrenaline rush and beauty of the Mhadei river valley amaze you.

12:30 PM / 5:00 PM - End Rafting + Return to Base

Conclude your rafting trip at the end-point, board the jeep, and return to the starting base at The Cashew House.

Yes! Our rafting trips are designed for both swimmers and non-swimmers. You’ll be equipped with a high-quality life jacket and helmet, and accompanied by trained river guides at all times.

What is the best time for rafting in Goa?

The best time for rafting is during the monsoon season (June to October) when the Mhadei River is at its peak flow. This is the only period when rafting is possible in Goa.

What are the age and health requirements?

  • Minimum Age: 10 years or at least 4 feet tall

  • Not Allowed: Pregnant women, individuals with serious health issues (like heart conditions)

  • Guests should be in good physical health and able to paddle and follow instructions.

What should I wear and bring for the trip?

How long does the entire rafting experience take?

Not at all. Our trips are beginner-friendly. Every trip begins with a detailed safety briefing and basic paddling instructions.

Where does the rafting take place?

Rafting happens on the Mhadei River near Valpoi, in the northern part of Goa, located about 2 hours from the beach belt like Calangute or Baga.

How do I reach the meeting point?

Our meeting point is The Cashew House in Nagargaon, Valpoi. You can reach by your own vehicle or request assistance for transport at an extra cost.

Can I get photos or videos of my rafting session?

Yes, photos and videos may be available on request, subject to the availability of photographers and weather conditions. Please inform your guide in advance.

  • Minimum 6 participants required to operate a trip.

  • Secure footwear is mandatory (e.g., floaters, sneakers). Slippers are not allowed.
